The programs listed in the UK Faculty Research Support Guide are available to full-time faculty members — regular, special, research or clinical title series and senior research staff. All requests for internal support require the approval of and electronic submission through the college administration and department chair or center & institute director.
Requests and proposals are to be submitted to Research Support . Indicate program name in subject line.
Research Enhancement Grants
Limited funds are available for research needs that do not fit into any other funding category. In the past funds have been used for:
- Institutional membership in
associations
- Group research software purchases - please
check UK software inventory before making a request
- Safety-related research issues
- Small renovations
- Bridge funding (see new Bridge Funding page)
- Other opportunities to advance research
In most cases matching funds from external and/or internal funding from the department or college is required.
Requests may be made at any time. Requests more appropriate to other categories will be rerouted. Proposals should clearly indicate:
- Funds requested and funds available from other
sources.
- The benefit of the proposed enhancement, including which faculty members will benefit.
