The Markey Cancer Center (MCC) requires that any Medical Center cancer-related clinical research receive review and approval by the MCC Protocol Review Committee (PRC) (Coordinate through the MCC Research Coordinating Center, 859-323-5127). [See MCC Oversight letter [PDF]] Cancer-related clinical trials would be any study involving a therapeutic intervention or diagnostic procedure to evaluate the early detection of, screening for, diagnosis of, or treatment of cancer, cancer-related symptoms or cancer therapy-related events in human subjects. This does not include population based studies or observational studies.
